Today, April 7th, was the first day of a three day roller derby workshop for us at Roller Derby Iceland. Master Blaster, coach of the Berlin Bombshells, was hired to come teach us a couple of things and coach us a bit.Today I just stood and watched, listened and took pictures. It was an awesome experience nonetheless.
I didn’t realize until in the car on the way to the place where we train, that I was going to see an actual roller derby player skate around and talk about derby. This sort of encouraged me to bring my skates for tomorrow’s training, which will be twice as long as it was today. It’ll be interesting to see what happens!

EXCIIIIIIIITEMEEEEEEEEENT!!!! Practice tomorrow night. Hopefully there will be extra practices this week because instead of practice on Thursday we’re getting together and cleaning our skates.
